1944 North-American P51D "Mustang" American fighter engine valve.

This unique piece is a sodium cooled exhaust valve, from the legendary Rolls-Royce / Packard "Merlin" V12 -1650 engine, which powered an US Army Air Force Mustang, based in Sussex, Great-Britain, during 1944 spring.

It is displayed in a polished hiduminium block, fitted on a crystal base.
