This particular piece is a 1941 Boeing "Stearman", model 75-PT18, engine piston. .


PISTON BOEING


Carefully polished, engraved "BOEING Stearman Model 75 PT-18 R-755-7 aero-engine 1941", this aircraft part become a decoration piece, with a soul, a story….

The Stearman was produced by Boeing, in its Wichita plant, Kansas, from 1936 to 1944.
The PT-18 version was launched in 1941 to fit out the US Army Air Force, which will become the US Air Force in 1947.
This version was powered by the R-755-7 , seven cylinders radial engine, with a 133mm x 127mm bore and stroke, and a 12,4 litres displacement !

BOEING STEARMAN


Therefore, this aircraft piston gets a respectable 13,3 cm diameter.
It is still engraved with it’s original reference and production date.

A Boeing piston, an unusual and historical piece !
